The post has become available as the current Deputy Head Teacher is to leave Moorside, after three successful years, to become a Head Teacher.

The progress children make throughout the school is exceptional, we have a new 21st century, 3 form entry primary school, our staff, are brilliant and our recent Ofsted report is glowing. There is vacancy for an outstanding Deputy Head Teacher to join us and to ensure Moorside continues to blossom.

The Governing Board is seeking to employ a creative and inspirational Deputy Head Teacher to join our vibrant teaching team and to work alongside the substantive Head Teacher. We are looking for someone who can model outstanding professionalism in all areas, embody our schools values and promote high expectations, respect, team work and independence.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an outstanding classroom practitioner
  • Have a strong knowledge of teaching and assessment in all phases of primary practice (EYFS – KS2)
  • Be able to model, promote and develop high quality teaching and learning strategies across the school
  • Be able to enthuse and inspire others
  • Be an effective manager and inspirational leader
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to work with all stakeholders
  • Have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a great sense of humour
