St John’s Church of England Primary School is a popular and successful two form entry primary with an onsite nursery. It was rated as “Good” by Ofsted in September 2016, and “Outstanding” in its SIAMS inspection in November 2015. Following the promotion of our Deputy Head teacher to headship, we are looking for an exceptional Deputy Headteacher to work with staff and governors as we strive for outstanding outcomes in all areas of school life.

We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious individual to develop as a senior leader. Along with other members of the senior leadership team,  the Deputy Headteacher will be centrally involved in management of the school and will be responsible for raising standards: ensuring a culture that is both nurturing and rigorous.

Our ideal candidate will be an outstanding teacher and a strategic leader with a resilient character and strong personal drive. A belief in the potential of all children to excel regardless of their starting points, and the power of high expectations of self and others is an essential for this role.

The position will be full time and is a non-teaching role.

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed during the weeks commencing 1st April and 22nd April.  Please contact the school office for an appointment.

Closing date: Midday, 25th April.

Interviews will  be held week commencing 29th April.

Please complete an application and attach a covering letter addressed to Mrs. D. West-Gaul.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and as such all post holders are subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check and satisfactory references.

The school is part of the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership.
