Holy Trinity C of E Primary School is a large, inclusive school in Halifax. At our last Ofsted in Feb 2018 we were judged to be ‘Good’ where ‘The school’s culture of high expectations is underpinned by a strong sense of moral purpose.’ Our SIAMs inspection in March 2018 found that ‘The wellbeing of children is at the heart of the school’s mission to provide outstanding education.’

We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspirational and resilient Deputy Headteacher who will embody the Christian ethos and culture of the school. The candidate will have the capacity to help lead and motivate our dedicated staff and pupils to the next stage of our continued development and improvement. They will have a strong and caring leadership style, with the ability to inspire and bring out the best in everyone. The role will be challenging but rewarding and will include a teaching commitment.

We are looking for a professional individual who:

  • Has senior leadership experience of at least Assistant Head or equivalent
  • Has sympathy with Christian traditions
  • Is an Outstanding classroom teacher
  • Is passionate about improving educational standards
  • Possesses excellent communication skills
  • Has the highest expectations for learners, staff and the wider community

About Holy Trinity Primary School, A Church of England Academy

Holy Trinity Primary School is a large Church of England Academy in Central Halifax. We are a 2-form entry school, and have approximately 450 pupils on roll (including nursery). We are immensely proud of the diverse community that school serves and warmly welcome children from different cultures, religions and background. Holy Trinity was purpose built in 2005, and offers a fantastic environment for pupil’s to thrive.    

The modern interior facilities include a large hall with apse area, ICT suite with workstations for a full class, library, Nurture Room, Cooking Room and media suite for a wide range of activities and group work.   

Outside there is a large playground with trim trail, field, sandpit area, reflection area and a spacious woodland area including wildlife pond. 

Holy Trinity is a friendly, caring and supportive employer with 70 staff. A number of volunteers help around school and there is a visible commitment from the Governing body.
