We are seeking to appoint an inspiring, creative and committed Deputy Headteacher to become an integral part of our Senior Leadership Team.  The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader who will join us in helping to move our academy from ‘good’ to ‘outstanding’.  The Deputy Head will initially have responsibility for the day to day management of the curriculum, academic leadership across the school and design and construction of the school timetable.  They will lead the team of Heads of Faculty in driving forward the school’s development plans of the curriculum; a further key aspect of the role will be to lead the continuing professional development of alternative pathways both within the school and beyond the school site. 

Applicants must have a strong academic track record, experience of effective management, the ability to lead and be capable of building good working relationships with staff, students and parents. The role will suit an experienced middle manager seeking an opportunity for professional development or someone already experienced at senior level. 

As this is a senior position it carries a reduced teaching timetable.  Please state your teaching subject specialism in your application. 

Applicants will also need to demonstrate the ability to accept new ideas and a thorough commitment to student learning with evidence of high quality professional development and leadership skills.
