Deputy Headteacher – Director of Sixth Form

The Governors of this 11-18 Foundation School are seeking to appoint an outstanding Deputy Headteacher to join an experienced and enthusiastic Leadership Team committed to a programme of rapid school improvement.

This is a rare opportunity to make a significant and lasting contribution to the development of a significantly expanding Sixth Form.  

The successful candidate will:

• Play a major part in establishing the distinctive, dynamic and vibrant culture of our Sixth Form, which is due to expand from September 2022.
• Establish high expectations and develop systems to ensure that they are met.
• Have a significant input into creating the physical environment that is being developed to house our Sixth Form.
• Promote and instil confidence in the Sixth Form, within and beyond the school community, so that it becomes the first choice for students.

You will have post-sixteen experience at senior leadership level, with a proven track record of securing the highest possible outcomes for learners, and an exceptional knowledge and understanding of factors that are essential to the development, leadership and management of a successful Sixth Form.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding teacher and have experience of being a successful senior leader with:

• a proven record of raising attainment and making a difference
• excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
• the ability to contribute to the strategic direction of the school.
