The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and resilient Deputy Headteacher to support and lead the team at our Outstanding Nursery School.

This post is an excellent opportunity for an individual with high expectations, a strong vision of outstanding pedagogy and self-motivation to demonstrate and develop their teaching and leadership skills. Key to our success is the experienced, skillful team of Early Years Educators, who are dedicated to children and their childhood, within inspirational and enabling environments, indoors and out.

We are a school that values and respects children, encouraging them to express their thoughts, ideas and opinions, believe in themselves as strong, competent and capable learners, within a climate of possibility thinking.

The successful candidate will need to have a love of nature and the teaching skills to enable children to learn effectively outdoors – all day, everyday, in addition to promoting a beautiful, provocative space indoors that triggers creative thinking for all children.

Applicants are encouraged to visit the school during the week beginning Monday 5 February 2018. Please contact the school for arrangements.

Application forms and an information pack are available from and returnable to The Corporate Director of Children and Adults Services, c/o the School and Governor Support Service, Children and Adults Services, County Hall, Durham. DH1 5UJ, or SGSS.Administration@durham.gov.uk .
