Oakwood Primary Academy is part of Aurora Academy Trust and is seeking to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated and committed professional with the qualities and skills to support us to achieve aspirational outcomes for our pupils.  You will work with our Headteacher and leadership team to deliver our school vision and values, enabling us to build on our current strengths.  The Trust has a commitment to providing exciting opportunities and development for all staff.

Following a visit from Ofsted in July 2016, we have been rated as a ‘Good’ school and we continue to strive to reach the status of ‘Outstanding’. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to support, challenge and inspire others
  • Outstanding classroom practice, with a proven track record in raising standards with the highest expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour
  • Have the knowledge and skills to develop teaching and learning and raise attainment across the school
  • The ability to lead a variety of teams effectively and contribute positively in a team environment
  • Experience of leading professional development
  • Knowledge of whole-school curriculum development
