About The Mulberry Primary School

The Mulberry Primary School is a mainstream, mixed primary in Tottenham, North London. It caters for three to 11-year-old students. There are 720 places available, making it one of the largest primary schools in the borough of Haringey. It also provides 18 places through its provision for children with autism.

The school is proud of its cultural and linguistic diversity, with three out of four pupils speaking English as an additional language. Its provision for autistic students, and for pupils eligible for additional government funding through the pupil premium, makes it a very inclusive school.

Values and vision

The Mulberry Primary School’s vision is "learning and achieving together". It aims to provide a stimulating and safe environment that allows students to become independent learners and responsible citizens who think outside the box. Teachers aim to provide a varied curriculum and ensure everyone is treated as equal. They value the uniqueness of every child. The school's core values are resilience, respect, thoughtfulness, morality, equality, cooperation and communication.

The Mulberry Primary School specialises in creating an equal environment for students of all abilities. It endorses Haringey’s anti-racism guidelines and has an active race equality policy. All boys and girls have equal access to all activities.

There is an emphasis on English, maths, speaking and listening, as well as the use of computers. Staff provide a curriculum for autism, and offer a range of sensory and therapeutic interventions and multidisciplinary approaches to fit pupils' needs.

Ofsted report

“Teaching very effectively promotes pupils’ good spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, which is evident in lessons and around the school. Pupils work together well, value the opinions of others, and show good awareness of other cultures.”
