The Directors invite applications for the position of Deputy Headteacher of the school.

We require an inspirational and visionary leader who is a practising and committed Catholic who can contribute to our vision of Catholic Education which has faith at the centre of our school community.

The successful candidate will have:

  • strong leadership skills which inspire respect and commitment
  • a determination to raise standards through strategies that build on existing strengths and develop new ones
  • a proven track record in implementing sustainable change in order to move our good school to outstanding
  • the ability to lead curriculum developments through creative and innovative thinking

The Governing Body are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service and additional recruitment checks.

The English Martyrs Catholic School and Sixth Form College holistically educates students from the age of 11 to 18 (Year 7 through to Year 13). We are part of the Bishop Hogarth Catholic Education Trust and belong to the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle.
