Deputy Headteacher

The Governors of Ashlyns School are looking for an exceptional leader to play their part in driving and shaping the school’s future. The successful candidate will provide excellent leadership and high-quality management and will support the Headteacher in securing the continued improvement and success of the school.

Appointing the right person with the drive, ambition, motivation, and leadership skills is our paramount objective. There is flexibility in determining the specific roles and responsibilities. Specific areas of responsibility might include student progress, standards, and effectiveness; teaching, learning and assessment; behaviour, safety, and welfare; leadership and the development of others.

Please apply online via Teach in Herts.  You will be  asked to set up a profile to apply.  Please note that late applications will not be accepted.

Candidates should be aware that there are 2 components to the application:

  1. Teach in Herts online application form including personal statement (CVs should not be submitted)
  2. Covering Letter: this should not exceed the equivalent of 2 sides of A4 (font size no smaller than point 10) and should be distinct from the personal statement within the application form.
