We are seeking to appoint an aspirant or experienced Deputy Headteacher who shares the high expectations we have for our pupils and believes in their potential. 


Salary: £56,072 - £61,478 per annum inc. Outer London Weighting (L10 – L14)

Start Date: After Easter 2022 or as soon as possible (immediate start available) 

Contract: Full Time, Permanent 


Grange Park Junior School is a welcoming four-form-entry foundation school based in the large West London town of Hayes, in the southern part of the London Borough of Hillingdon. Our school strives to become an Outstanding beacon of excellence in the local community, and we are looking for an experienced Deputy Headteacher or aspiring Assistant Headteacher who shares our passion and expectations for the children in our care. 


Our school community is large, and our pupils, parents, carers, and staff represent several unique socio-economic and culturally diverse backgrounds, which in turn have helped us to create a rich and engaging topic-based curriculum. Learning at Grange Park Junior is a mixture of traditional approaches, supported by extra-curricular experiences both in school and via educational visits. We firmly believe that all our children regardless of ability should be encouraged to fulfil and exceed their potential and reflect our school vision of “striving to be the best that we can be”. 


The ideal candidate for this role will be an existing Deputy Headteacher or an aspirant middle leader looking to take the next step in their career. You will:

  • Have a proven ability to promote and achieve high standards of learning and attainment.
  • Lead by example to inspire, challenge, motivate and empower colleagues and pupils to achieve their potential.
  • Be an excellent practitioner with a demonstrable knowledge of safeguarding, inclusion, and assessment in a junior or primary school setting.

The interview and assessment process will involve several tasks to test the shortlisted candidates’ ability in specific areas related to school leadership. Full details will be provided to those candidates who are shortlisted.
