Sandgate School is a Special School for children with Severe,Complex and Profound Learning Needs with 67 students currently on role. The school is based across two sites- Early Years to KS3 students on the Sandgate site on Sandylands Road; Older students are based at our Sandgate @ Queen Katherine School facility on Appleby Road.
Sandgate School is looking for an ambitious, experienced and highly motivated senior leader with an interest in leading.

Working within our vibrant organisation, you will be a Deputy Headteacher who is passionate about the entitlement of every young person to an inspiring education.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, talented and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join our school team and help us achieve our vision as a key and critical member of the school’s Senior Leadership Team.
This is a really exciting and unique opportunity for the right candidate as our school is primed to launch into a new era, with a new purpose built co-located development.

Candidates will need to demonstrate:
- Excellent interpersonal skills to lead, motivate and inspire staff and students to reach the highest levels of achievement, along with outstanding classroom teaching
- A track record at senior level of successfully implementing improvement strategies
- The ability to operate at a strategic level including effective use of data, self-evaluation and quality assurance processes.
