Honley High School is looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who will share our vision and values to support and lead the school in the future.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with drive, commitment and high aspirations to work in close partnership with the Headteacher, leadership team, staff, parents and governors to provide the very best education for our children in a happy and vibrant school.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to inspire, develop, empower and sustain individuals and teams, as well as an inspirational classroom practitioner and role model.

Honley High School is a large secondary comprehensive school in Honley, West Yorkshire with approximately 1,280 students aged 11-16 on the school roll.

Honley High School first opened in 1932 and occupies a delightful rural setting in the heart of the Holme Valley. The village of Honley has a population of approximately 6,500 and has rail links to Huddersfield and Sheffield and has regular bus services.

We value working in partnership with others and in September 2019 we joined with four other schools in Kirklees and Calderdale to form the Together Learning Trust. Our expectation is that by working together as a family of schools we will be able to provide even greater opportunities for our learners and greater access to professional development for our staff.  We are pleased that many of our previous Co-operative Trust partners agreed to transfer across to support this new venture and are continuing to work with us to develop our children into well-rounded and socially responsible young adults.
