TO JOIN OUR EXCEPTIONAL TEAM FOR A JANUARY 2017 START
WE WOULD LIKE TO APPOINT: A Deputy Headteacher to work alongside our Executive Headteacher and Head of School (Primary and Children’s Centre) in the creation and foundation of our new Secondary Phase, as we expand to become Lambeth’s first Community All-Through School in September 2017.
This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for an existing secondary leader who is looking for a new challenge and would welcome the prospect of shaping our secondary curriculum and realising Woodmansterne’s unique vision and ethos into our secondary phase.
Woodmansterne is an Outstanding Primary School located in the heart of Streatham Vale. The school is currently in its second year of expansion from a two to four-form entry and our secondary school will be five-form entry with a sixth form.
We move into our brand new Primary facilities next term and our new state-of-the-art secondary building is due to open in September 2018.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is an outstanding leader with high expectations for all
- Has a proven track record as a senior leader
- Can lead on curriculum development and raising standards
- Has experience in the principles of quality learning, teaching and assessment

About Woodmansterne School
Woodmansterne Secondary is a planned extension to Woodmansterne Primary School in Lambeth, South London. Woodmansterne Secondary School will share the current Woodmansterne Primary school site and will be Lambeth’s first community all-through school. Those who attend Woodmansterne Primary School will automatically transfer to the secondary school, with the remaining places being offered as part of the Pan London Admissions process. The school’s nearest station is Streatham Common on the Southern Rail line.
