St. Andrew’s is a co-ed international primary school with a strong ethos and a focus on developing children who are truly globally minded. Our school aims to provide children with the tools that they will need to carry themselves forward in life as independent thinkers and learners and responsible people who make a positive contribution to the societies in which they live.

Our curriculum has a holistic focus and we endeavour to provide opportunities for collaboration and creativity within the curriculum. We believe that in so doing we enhance children’s abilities to develop their respect for each other whilst using a creative approach to problem solving.

In line with our values and school rules we are seeking a Deputy Headteacher who will embody our values and bring with them a skill set and character which will contribute to our ethos, and inject new ideas to develop this further.

The following criteria will be used to identify suitable candidates for interview:

• Successful candidates will exhibit recent UK or accredited International School teaching experience, preferably in the primary sector.
• They will have demonstrable managerial and leadership experience upon which they can draw, to discuss and outline various leadership concepts.
• They should have a strong focus on academic rigour but should also show a commitment towards developing a holistically oriented education, and be able to discuss this in detail.
• They should be able to demonstrate a commitment to ‘The Learning Game’ that goes beyond the day-to-day responsibilities required of the role.
• They should be able to discuss examples of their own professional development, which outline their suitability for this role.

The role will be a partial teaching role (approximately 60% FTA) with the remaining percentage being given over to managerial responsibilities and school development.
