Deputy Headteacher

Eastlea Community School is seeking to appoint a dedicated Deputy Headteacher who is able to build positive relationships across the school and who will be key in establishing and implementing the school’s aims & objectives.  They  will need to be a confident, professional & approachable communicator as they will be liaising with external and internal stakeholders, including staff, students, parents and the wider community. 

The successful applicant should have good time management skills, be able to meet deadlines and have a flexible approach to work as priorities could change at short notice. A good level of all Microsoft Office Suite applications and excellent numeracy, literacy and ICT skills are essential.  Knowledge of school MIS is desirable.

Eastlea has recently come under new leadership and this is an exciting time in the school’s development.  It is now part of a local Trust (NCST) with three other local secondaries.  NCST has a strong reputation for working with local Newham schools for the benefit of the whole community.  The new Executive Headteacher and the Head of School are highly experienced leaders in Newham and are committed to the highest standards of education for our local community.  Any member of staff who joins the Eastlea at this time will benefit from the sharing of expertise and professional development opportunities that exist across the MAT.
