We are looking for an ambitious Deputy Headteacher to join us from April or September 2019.  We have excellent facilities, a caring and welcoming school community with committed staff and a supportive leadership team. 

The key responsibilities for this Deputy Headteacher post will include:  Pastoral, Operations Team, Pupil Support, Cover and Exams, Curriculum Faculties as assigned, Extended School Curriculum, Designated Year Group and Student Welfare.

Arts & Media School Islington is a co-educational, comprehensive trust foundation school in north Islington, London. 

The Victorian school building was originally home to Montem Street School, later becoming known as Tollington Park Secondary School and, more recently, as George Orwell School.

In 2014, Arts & Media School Islington was selected to be one of 12 schools in London to participate in the Music in Secondary Schools Trust  (MISST) programme, which aims to develop team-working skills, improve discipline and enrich the learning of students through the creativity of music.

Key stage 3 students at Arts & Media School Islington receive an orchestral string instrument alongside compulsory musical education for three years, all free of charge.
