Pontefract Academies Trust is a cross phase Multi Academy Trust comprising of eight schools: six primaries and two 11-16 schools. The Trust is a medium sized family of schools all located within a tight geographic hub within Pontefract. Students are drawn from the local community that includes a mix of different catchment areas.

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional leader to join the leadership team at Carleton Community High School from September 2018 (or sooner). 

The successful candidate will be an innovative leader with energy, drive and a proven track record of raising standards. You will have an expert knowledge about the process of learning, the ability to make a difference, and the capability to drive high-quality learning and teaching to stretch and challenge all our learners to reach their potential.

You will be joining a Trust which is striving to move forward and embrace change. The Trust has recently appointed James Franklin-Smith as Executive Director of Secondary Education to lead the support, challenge and improvement of the Trust’s secondary academies. 

The Trustees are very supportive of the School and our ethos, whilst providing the necessary challenge to secure excellence.
