Are you our new Deputy Headteacher?

For pupils with emotional social, behavioural and learning difficulties, a place at Belmont School ensures improvements in behaviour, confidence and self-belief, which can then be transferred into appropriate and accelerated learning inside the classroom and beyond. The primary and secondary sites are continuing to expand to extend the already excellent academic and vocational facilities.

About the role

The team at Belmont School are passionate about making the school a special place that pupils enjoy coming to every single day. We have an opportunity for a new Deputy Headteacher to help provide inspirational and motivational leadership across the school.

As Deputy Headteacher, you will promote a relentless focus on the quality of education and delivery of a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum that meets the needs of children and young people and produces positive outcomes.

Working with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure the school has effective management and the required team capability to further develop and continually improve.

You will be joining an experienced and committed staff team and will have the opportunity to help set the direction of our successful school that is unique in its region.

This is a School that excels by adopting new strategies, such as Thrive, and is not interested in standing still.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to hear from dynamic and passionate individuals with experience of working with young people with a range of complex learning needs. We are looking for someone who knows how to bring a creative and innovative approach to improving performance and support for our pupils and their families. An excellent communicator, you will act as an ambassador for Belmont School, and will have demonstrable experience of working in partnership with parents, local authorities and other stakeholders. If you are a truly inspirational, highly motivated and forward thinking leader, with the energy and passion to change lives coupled with proven experience of whole school development and improvement, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

In return for your experience and commitment we offer outstanding career opportunities, access to a network of great senior colleagues within the Acorn Care and Education Group and the chance to shape the future and ongoing development of the school.

Want to explore further?

If you are successful at the initial stage you will be invited to an assessment on 23rd or 24th of October 2017. This position is due to commence as soon as possible in the Spring Term 2018.

This is a great opportunity to see our fantastic facilities and surroundings, learn more, first-hand about Belmont School and help you decide if we are the right school for you.

Closing date for applications: 18th October 2017

Acorn Care and Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children and young people in our care. Successful applicants will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
