Merstham Primary School is a successful and popular one form entry Primary School with 264 children on roll. The Headteacher and the Governing Body are now seeking to appoint an ambitious, inspirational and motivated Deputy Headteacher to join the Senior Leadership Team.

The school has embarked on its school improvement journey and in February 2016 was judged a ‘Good’ school, a step up from its previous ‘RI’ judgement. The school are proud of the achievements they have made and are now seeking to employ a visionary and passionate Deputy Headteacher who will continue their journey of improvement.

With experience in school improvement, and a passion for improving children’s life chances and offering a high standard of education for all, you will be joining a supportive school ready to embrace their next stage of development.

As the ideal candidate you will:

  • Have had recent successful experience as Deputy Headteacher
  • Have proven leadership and management experience and expertise at senior management level
  • Have a record of successfully implementing initiatives to raise standards
  • Experience in developing an exciting and engaging curriculum to motivate the pupils
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
