Job overview

We are looking for a Deputy Headteacher to join our inclusive and dynamic Primary School, in the heart of Oxford.  We currently have 360 pupils on role, and we have a Nursery provision where we accept children from the age of 2 years old.  The school is part of the River Learning Trust which is a Multi-Academy Trust responsible for a number of schools and a school-centred initial teacher training provider (SCITT).  We are united by our principles and our commitment to working together.

New Marston Primary School is a mixed community school for 4-11 year olds in Headington, Oxford. In February 2017, we converted to an academy under the River Learning Trust. Exciting times are ahead for the school; teachers and leadership teams across the Trust work closely to support and challenge each other and there is strong collaboration and mutual support which benefits all our schools. We are committed to ensuring that the school continues to improve rapidly and provides the best possible education for our children.
