Do you have a genuine commitment to the inclusion agenda? Do you want to make a difference to the lives of young people? Do you want to be part of an exciting journey to become an outstanding provision for the most vulnerable, disaffected young people across Sheffield? If the answer is a resounding yes then this could be a great opportunity for you.

The Sheffield Inclusion Centre provides education and emotional support for young people from Y1 – Y11 who have been permanently excluded from mainstream schools. We work hard here, but the rewards are tremendous if you are motivated by improving the life chances of young people.

We want to add capacity to our team by recruiting an inspirational, proven school leader who has at their heart, the strong desire to equip our young people with the skills and knowledge to live safe, fulfilled and successful lives. You should be an emotionally intelligent, strategic leader who likes to be visible in school and leads by example. For us the right personality and an ability to connect with our young people is key and absolutely essential.

Please read the letter to applicants and our most recent Ofsted report attached for more of a flavour of our school and do not hesitate to call the school for an informal chat or come and visit us and meet our inspiring, talented young people and our hard working, talented staff. We welcome interest from colleagues from mainstream, special or PRU provisions.

Interested candidates should call Tuesday Rhodes, Headteacher, on 0114 2531988 for an informal discussion about the role.

Candidates are encouraged to visit the school. To arrange a visit, you should contact Debra Blackburn on 0114 283 5867, or by emailing Debra.Blackburn@inclusion.sheffield.sch.uk.

Completed application forms, and any queries about the recruitment process, should be addressed to Debra Blackburn at Enquiries@inclusion.sheffield.sch.uk or by phoning 0114 2531988.

The Sheffield Inclusion Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We require the successful applicant to undertake an enhanced criminal records check via the Disclosure & Barring Service. Please take the time to read the safeguarding policy on our website www.inclusion.sheffield.sch.uk.

Deadline for applications: 24th January 2020

Assessment centre, in-school activities and interviews: W/C 3rd February 2020
