About Newfield Secondary School

Newfield School is a mainstream, co-educational, secondary academy for children aged 11-16. It is situated in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, and there are approximately 1050 pupils on its roll.

Newfield School is part of Mercia Learning Trust, a successful multi-academy trust partnership of schools in the south of Sheffield. One of the benefits of our partnership is that all Newfield students are guaranteed a place in the Sixth Form at King Ecgbert School, if they wish, providing they meet the entry requirements for their chosen courses.

At Newfield School we passionately believe that 'Achievement leads to Opportunity and Choice' and this is underpinned by our three values;

* We are high performing because we are curious and have a thirst for knowledge

* We are considerate and value our community

* We succeed through commitment and relentless ambition

Newfield School places students at the centre of all it does. It prides itself on being fully inclusive and caters to students' individual needs and development. The secondary school has high expectations and its goal is to improve life chances for each pupil irrespective of their starting point. Teachers provide an outstanding education for pupils and ensure their time at school is happy and fulfilling.
