Our vision is to continually develop a school with a culture that encompasses academic and creative excellence.  We are all committed to the school ethos, which is built on the principles of developing all children’s academic and creative abilities alike.  Every child deserves the chance to succeed and Comber Grove Primary gives the pupils of Camberwell the chance to do so.

To honour the tradition of drama, every class is named after a London theatre.  We use this philosophy to teach the children that their world is a stage and with resilience they can succeed in anything they put their mind to.

At Comber Grove, we want our pupils to be shaped into model citizens ready for life in modern Britain.  We therefore promote British Values and have created our own values system which are upheld by our Pupil Leadership team, school council and wider school community.

Our values system guides us to model our expectations throughout the school community.  It drives our model of behaviour and helps us to shape the right decisions for our pupils every day:

Respect, Resilience, Reflectiveness, Teamwork, Fairness

• To respect and build strong links with our school community and wider environment

• To practice and celebrate resilience when working towards academic and creative achievements

• To show reflectiveness when overcoming problems and difficult situations

• To celebrate and encourage teamwork because no adult or pupil at Comber Grove should be alone

• To celebrate fairness which encompasses difference and cultural diversity where all can achieve their potential

If you are dynamic, resilient and energetic with an ambition to play a major role in the leadership and management of our school then we would love to hear from you.
