Job overview

We are looking for a candidate who has experience of successfully developing teaching and learning across areas of a school. A senior leader who understands how to work with capable staff to assess provision, plan change and embed new developments.

Staff professional growth must be about creating the right culture. We want development to be “done with” rather than “done to” and to be driven by the senior and middle leadership teams working together to empower and energise staff. We have the highest aspirations and already have many areas of strong practice to build on, but we are keen to see things from a new perspective, drawing on best practice both locally and nationally. These developments are key to our ambition to offer the best provision we possibly can because our fantastic students deserve it.

As a senior member of staff, we would expect the Deputy Headteacher to have a high profile around the site role modelling our school values and deputising for the Headteacher when required. The position will include working with Governors, line management of middle leaders and other appropriate responsibilities.

If this role is of interest to you, please read the attached documents. If you meet the person specification, we very much welcome your application.

The closing date for applications is noon on Monday 8th February 2021

Applications can be made using the Quick Apply link below.
