DEPUTY HEADTEACHER
Salary: L20 – L27

Required for September 2020, a full-time permanent deputy headteacher to join our senior management team.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate with vision and outstanding leadership skills who is keen to work in a large, high-performing comprehensive school with over 1700 students and help take Sheldon on to even greater successes. We would like to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional to work with the headteacher and senior team to build on our strengths and take the school further forward. As a member of the senior team, the person appointed will have significant responsibility for pastoral matters, including line management of five heads of year, as well as being the designated safeguarding lead. The role has more wide-ranging aspects involving the oversight of training for ITE students and programmes of induction for new staff as well as a focus on maintaining and developing our work around staff and student wellbeing. We would also like to hear about other experiences that candidates can bring or would like to be involved in.

The deputy headteacher would be joining a hugely committed senior team in a friendly, successful school, where morale is high, students are keen to learn and there is a shared will to make it even stronger.
