Holy Family Multi Academy Trust (HFCMAT) is seeking to appoint an exceptional, highly aspirational, dynamic leader with a strong, proven track record of sustained school improvement to join us as a Deputy Headteacher at St John Plessington Catholic College from 1st January 2023. 

The Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust (HFCMAT) is a Multi Academy Trust which has been developed with the intent to raise standards of achievement for all its students. We believe in the power of education and know that outcomes mean much more than data. We commit across our schools to providing a broad range of experiences so that our young people can grow with confidence and develop an understanding of their passions. The Holy Family Catholic Multi Academy Trust currently consists of five schools.

St John Plessington Catholic College is a large, oversubscribed 11 - 19 secondary school, situated in Bebington, Wirral. This is an important time in the life of the College. In 2020, we were designated a Teaching School Hub, one of only 87 nationally. We work with partners across Wirral and Liverpool to lead CPD, the Early Career Framework and ITT across the region. The Deputy Headteacher post will be additional to the existing leadership team to take responsibility for achievement and curriculum from January 2023.

The successful candidate will have a commitment to Catholic education and would play an active role in the community of SJP. You will likely be aspiring to Headship and will have an outstanding record for inspiring the highest standards of attainment amongst young people. You will take personal and professional satisfaction in enabling young people to achieve highly. You will have a passion for teaching and learning and an understanding of how this is facilitated through an outstanding curriculum. You will be ambitious, innovative and be prepared to think creatively.
