Deputy Headteacher

The Governors of Bearwood Primary School are looking to appoint an inspirational Deputy Headteacher who can maintain our warm, safe and caring family environment of which we are very proud.

To realise our ambition, vision and values we are looking for someone who:

• Has experience as a primary classroom teacher, preferably across a range of years
• Has successful leadership and management experience in a school as a subject or phase leader or a deputy/assistant headteacher
• Will act as an effective role model, promoting exemplary behaviour across the school community, creating a professional and caring ethos where all individuals are respected
• Is an inspirational leader who recognises and motivates emerging talent in the school community and can build open, productive relationships with all stakeholders
• Can demonstrate excellent strategic abilities ensuring the optimum use of data and resources in leading the school to achieve effective child-centred outcomes
• Has knowledge and experience of leading on curriculum development
• Will challenge all in the school to reach their goals, instilling a strong sense of aspiration and accountability
• Has demonstrable knowledge and experience of school systems which drive improvement
• Is committed to safeguarding and equality
