Job overview

This is not a regular deputy headteacher position. Our deputy headteacher oversees the day to day running of our Charvil site. We are seeking an exceptional leader to cover the present incumbent’s maternity leave, possibly as a secondment from their current role. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right person to develop as a school leader. The post is available full time although part time applications will be considered from experienced candidates.

The Charvil Piggott Church of England Primary School opened in September 2013 as the primary phase of The Piggott School. We currently have 116 children between Foundation Stage and Year 3. The school will expand as the children grow, admitting 30 new children each year until we have reached our capacity of 210 in 2019. Charvil is situated just 20 minutes from, Reading, Maidenhead, Wokingham and Henley-On-Thames. Charvil Piggott Primary School was recognised by SIAMS as ‘Outstanding’ in March 2016.

Staff benefit from free full gym membership at the Nuffield Health Suite at our Wargrave site. In addition, all teachers have use of a laptop and/or tablet, and discounted Bupa health insurance.

If you wish to discuss this opportunity further, please contact the Headteacher, Mr D J Gray via his PA Mrs Preston by email at prestonc@piggottschool.org

Visits to the school are warmly welcomed by appointment.
