The Prince of Wales Island International School (POWIIS- Tanjung Bungah Campus), located on Penang Island, Malaysia, offers leaders an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly competent, caring learning community. Applications are invited from experienced Senior Leaders who are passionate about working with children, their families and the wider staff. They will have good knowledge of the English National Curriculum and be willing to work with a curriculum which takes into account our regional context. They should be a highly resourceful, forward-thinking professional and with excellent inter-personal skills. Ideally, the successful candidate will have had experience of leading a school through the CIS process. They will possess strong organisation skills and be able to communicate sensitively and effectively. While the position is a non-teaching role, some release cover and contributing to the school’s extra-curricular programme is expected.

The successful applicant will lead a team with the energy, expertise and creativity to bring out the best in the students and each other. Thoughtful, purpose-built facilities provide flexible learning spaces for students. The large Astroturf playing field, swimming pool, multi-purpose hall, dance studio, a Design, Engineer Construct Space and excellent specialist science, music and art rooms ensure the students can enjoy the richness of a truly broad curriculum.

Applicants must have at least 3 years of teaching experience in the U.K. or at a recognised international school. All applicants must also hold a bachelor’s degree, and/or a post-graduate qualification in education (i.e. PGCE, DipTch).
