Deputy SENCo.
Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive secondary academy, based in Lambeth. The school is looking to add a Deputy SENCo to its progressive and supportive SEN Department ideally starting in January 2022.
The role will include supporting and coordinating the delivery of SEN/D provision across the whole school. You will be innovative and will support the SENCo to coordinate the SEN provision across the school supporting all learners to achieve to the best of their abilities. You'll lead from the front and will support and will deputise for the SENCo when needed.
“To lead, develop and support effective practice for pupils with particular learning needs to ensure their learning needs are addressed in the most effective way and, where appropriate, they are able to make rapid progress in line with the academy’s expectations. The post holder will maintain a teaching timetable of approximately 10 lessons a week, modelling outstanding practice in terms of classroom teaching, preparation, marking and assessment."

• the chance to take on further responsibility such as TLR or Leadership roles in the future.
The school expects:
• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• a relevant SEN coordination qualification (desirable)
• experience of delivering SEN/D coordination across the whole school supporting secondary school learners
• a love and passion for education.
