The Prospect Trust is a leading Multi-Academy Trust in the South of England, with an aim of providing outstanding education for all learners within a family of local academies. There are currently three academies within the Trust: The Sixth Form College Farnborough, Tomlinscote School and Frimley Church of England Junior School.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Drama and Performing Arts Department within an outstanding Sixth Form College. We are seeking a proactive individual to provide an excellent level of support to both staff and students in the College.

The primary function of this role is to assist the Theatre Technical Manager to offer a high standard of technical support to the Drama and Performing Arts department and all users of the Prospect Theatre.

The Deputy Theatre Technician will contribute to the achievement of the College’s single corporate objective - improving students’ achievements - by undertaking the responsibilities stated in the Job Description.

Contract/Hours: 37 hours per week - flexible timings according to the demands of performing arts exams and public performances which may take place outside of normal working hours

Working Pattern:  Monday - Friday, term time only.

The Sixth Form College Farnborough is a sixth form college located in the town of the same name, in Hampshire. Since September 2017, The College has been part of The Prospect Trust, a multi-academy trust. The College had originally been a grammar school founded in 1936, becoming a full sixth form college in 1992. The college is co-educational, with over 3900 students aged 16-19. Since its establishment as a sixth form, the college has undergone extensive redevelopment and modernisation, and as a result can boast of a wide range of high-quality teaching and recreational facilities such as a brand-new purpose-built teaching block opened in 2010 containing teaching facilities for physics, electronics and photography among others. Around a third of the students at the college are on mixed programmes of study combining A levels and vocational courses. The college offers 33 A-level courses, with the largest being in psychology and mathematics. Of the 11 vocational courses, the largest are in criminology and business.
