We are looking for a DT Teacher in Thames Valley School in Reading. You’ll be working with autistic children and their families in a school environment.

 NAS Academies Trust currently includes two other free school, Church Lawton School & Vanguard School opening in January 2020 It has been designated that Thames Valley School & Vanguard School will be partner schools, under the leadership of an Executive Principal and Executive Business & Finance Manager.  

Both schools will work collaboratively to maximise the standards, curriculum offer, training and employment opportunities. This new role will enable you to influence & contribute to the future of the NAS Academies Trust schools.

We are looking for a hardworking and committed team of specialist teachers and support staff and a commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for our students.

We need you to be resilient, supportive and sensitive towards the needs of autistic people. 

You will be responsible for high quality autism specific education and development for children with Autism. You will have the ability to plan and deliver a personalised curriculum that is relevant and motivating for children on the autism spectrum. You should be able to have potential to develop skills in order to work with pupils with complex needs in addition to autism spectrum disorder, such as ADHD, OCD and PDA.
