Kingsbury High School is a vibrant learning environment with a strong community ethos.

As a large 12 form entry 11-18 split site school we are situated in an inner London location, but with an out of London feel – surrounded by parkland with large playing fields and great local amenities, excellent transport links to enable easy access from central London and fringe areas.  Our school is truly diverse in its makeup, whilst united as one family working to achieve the best for all our students.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable person to work in our well-equipped and successful Faculty of Art & Technology who has experience of working with resistant materials.  This position is to provide practical support to teaching staff and students in the Design and Technology Department.

You will be required to prepare, provide and return tools, equipment and materials as necessary to enable staff and students to function effectively, offering support in lessons, ordering stock and maintenance of workshops and stores. In addition, this post encompasses an understanding of CAD (preferably 2D design), and knowledge of operating and cleaning Laser machinery.

School experience would be desirable but is not essential. Training in specialist equipment is desirable but training will be provided.

  • You will have experience of working with children or young people, excellent interpersonal skills and be confident in using computers.
  • You must have good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • You will need to be flexible as things can often change at the last.
  • You must have the ability to relate to young people with a variety of learning and medical needs.

The appointee will be required to complete a six-month period of probation.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our pupils and the appointment will be subject to receipt of satisfactory references, medical and an enhanced DBS Disclosure check.
