Budmouth Academy is a large 11-18 academy in a beautiful part of the country and is a member of the Aspirations Academies Trust. We are looking for an exceptional individual to play an important role in our unique school. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for someone wishing to further develop their career. The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader with the ability to inspire staff and students to achieve outstanding outcomes. The successful candidate will also play an important role in leading the current DT team to ensure the academic and pastoral needs of all students are met.  

Candidates must be able to teach across the ability and age range, supporting DT to the highest standards for all pupils at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. This post would suit a teacher of experience, and as your professional development is important to us, there are highly supportive CPD opportunities available during your time at the school. The subject coordinator for D&T is a vital member of the Academy’s leadership team. 

Design & Technology is a vibrant and important part of the curriculum at Budmouth within all Key Stages.  We offer a very wide range of D&T specialisms at KS3-5. Many of our courses include close links with local businesses and industries. Subjects in the department include: Textiles, Food Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Creative and Digital Media, Graphics and Resistant Materials.  

Our current team offer a range of extra-curricular support sessions to ensure students reach their full potential, and if successful, we would hope that you would share this ethic. In addition the school has a unique STEM pathway to higher ability children at KS3, and technology subjects are an integral part of this offer.

Budmouth is a large academy and we are fortunate to have excellent facilities. We offer an exciting curriculum and there are is a wide-range of courses on offer.
