Due to department growth an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic permanent, full-time teacher of Design and Technology to join a high achieving team. The successful candidate will be a passionate, creative, outstanding practitioner who is confident teaching across the ability range for all key stages.
D&T is a highly successful, expanding department with a positive friendly atmosphere. At Key Stage 3 all students study D&T, Food and Textiles. GCSEs are offered in D&T (focusing on Wood, Metal and Plastic), D&T (focusing on Textiles), Food Preparation and Nutrition, and we offer A Level D&T Product Design, A level Fashion & Textiles and Level 3 Food Science and Nutrition. The department is well equipped with both traditional tools and machinery, and laser cutter, 3D printers etc.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player with the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate. They will have the ability to teach in a range of subject areas and some experience of Textiles would be an advantage. We welcome applications from both ECTs and experienced teachers.
