Details of the role

Trinity Academy is a highly oversubscribed free school that opened in 2019. We are a values based community that focuses on the learning of all students and staff, that cares deeply for our young people and each other and that is committed to co-curricular enrichment. Our stated goal is to be a +1 school for progress and as such, we are looking for a highly motivated, professional and well qualified Technician to join us in our mission.

You will play a key role in establishing a safe, orderly and high-performing DT Department. You will operate and maintain equipment under COSH regulations, ensure all materials are stored safely, prepare materials for students, order equipment and materials and keep the DT areas tidy and safe. The successful candidate will have a positive and productive outlook with a high level of initiative and competency. They will also have a clear understanding of the expectations of the role, together with an appreciation and awareness of the needs of a growing department. They will need a ‘can do’ attitude and will need to be highly flexible, calmly efficient, have an eye for detail and have the ability to build strong and positive relationships with students and staff. The successful candidate should have good IT skills, be well organised, have a professional approach to work and be able to prioritise workloads to meet critical deadlines.

The ability to contribute to other co-curricular areas of Trinity life (e.g. Team Sports, Music, Drama, Equalities or other co-curricular activities to be agreed) will be highly desirable

Further duties will be discussed at interview.
