At The Hayfield School our pupils engage with their learning and they thrive on challenge. We would like to appoint a talented and committed Design and Technology Technician to support pupils and staff and to contribute to the wider school. The ideal person will have a passion for design and technology, a sound working knowledge and practical skills related to building products in a range of materials. The successful candidate will be required to maintain equipment, tools and stock levels, collect monies from pupils as well as assisting teaching staff in the preparation and delivery of the Design and Technology curriculum. Experience of using laser cutters, CAD and CAM machines as well as good computer literacy would be desirable. Above all you must be relentlessly passionate about the value of Design and Technology in the curriculum. The Hayfield School is a great place to work where all colleagues are supported and valued, parents are supportive and the pupils are so eager to achieve. We do have a track record of excellent outcomes but we are not resting on our laurels. Indeed we are embracing a changing educational landscape.
The school is situated in Auckley near Robin Hood Airport. It is a lovely part of Doncaster and really easy to get to and from. Our teachers come from as far away as North Leeds, Sheffield, Scunthorpe and Nottinghamshire. It really is worth the journey.
