Retford Oaks Academy is seeking to appoint a Design and Technology Technician. The successful candidate will provide technical support to Resistant Materials, Engineering and Food & Nutrition subject areas, ensuring that rooms and workshops are set up for lessons, equipment is maintained, and health and safety requirements are met for the faculty with appropriate H&S documentation completion.

Design and Technology is a thriving and popular subject at Retford Oaks Academy. It plays an important part in the curriculum and we strive to encourage pupils to achieve their full potential by developing their skills in this area.

The ideal candidate will: 

  • Be committed to Retford Oaks Academy's ethos and values.
  • Have previous experience as a Design and Technology Technician 
  • Have a Health and Safety qualification or training or commitment to work towards 
  • Be able to prepare for lessons in a timely and efficient manner 
  • Be able to communicate effectively with team members 
  • Be committed to the ethos of the school.
