This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing the Design and Technology provision at our free school for South Manchester, Manchester Enterprise Academy Central.

We are seeking an experienced Technician to support our teachers and students at key stages 3 and 4 across Food Technology, Textiles and Graphics. The successful candidate will support the classroom teacher in lessons by assisting students with practical work and supporting project work. You will be passionate about these subject areas and education and committed to securing excellent outcomes for our students. The departments also offer a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities and a desire to be involved with this is extremely important. 

The successful applicant will be required to carry out general duties such as the  processing of orders and stock maintenance. They will be expected to keep teaching rooms and storerooms clean and tidy and undertake display when necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is a willingness to undertake training as required for the role.

MEA Central opened to 210 Year 7 students in September 2017 and will grow year on year until we are full in 2022. We are defined by our mission, ‘A Fantastic Future for All', we care about helping students to be their best and know the only way to do this is through academic achievement, character development and strong pastoral support.
