Design, Engineering and Technology Technician

20 hours per week • Term time only + 5 INSET days

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Design, Engineering and Technology Technician to join this ambitious department. The successful candidate will prepare resources for lessons, assist teachers with practical projects, use specialist skills to support our pupils, manage the provision of materials and undertake project work as required.

Applicants should be digitally literate, well-organised, thrive working as part of a team, have experience of manual and electronic tools and equipment and have a good understanding of health and safety and COSHH guidance.

Experience of CAD including Techsoft 2D Design and Solidworks, Photoshop and Illustrator alongside a broad understanding of engineering and woodworking techniques would be an advantage however full training will be given for the right candidate.

Shiplake College is situated in 45 acres of beautiful countryside on the banks of the river Thames between Reading and Henley-on-Thames.
