The JCB Academy was established in September 2010, the first of a brand new kind of school in the UK, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering and business education.
Since opening we have been consistently successful - our first Ofsted inspection, in May 2014, recognised us as a “Good” school with “outstanding” features, including progress in mathematics, engineering and vocational courses and the dedication to keeping students safe and secure. Pupil numbers are growing - we have been oversubscribed every year, including for entry this September. Currently we cater for approximately 580 full time students aged 14-18 as well as approximately 300 students aged 16+ following apprenticeships. We have exciting plans to expand further due to the demand for places.
We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational individual to deliver on a range of KS4 engineering and design and technology courses. We would be particularly interested in a candidate who has experience in working across a range of DT disciplines which may include Product Design, Resistant Materials and Engineering.
The successful individual will:
- Deliver an engaging engineering curriculum to KS4

The academy is located in Rocester, Staffordshire in an adapted and renovated mill, built by the famous industrial entrepreneur and engineer, Richard Arkwright, in the late 18th century.
