Job overview

We are looking to appoint a Design and Technology & Science Technician to provide practical and technical assistance to support the teaching and learning of DT and Science with students at Alderwood Senior School.


The successful candidate will assist in helping to demonstrate equipment, tools and processes as directed by the class teacher. This role involves a range of tasks including helping students during lessons to carry out practical tasks, daily preparation of materials and ordering and purchasing stock.


The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Previous experience of working in an education setting is desirable.


Alderwood School is an ‘all through’ school on the outskirts of Aldershot split across 3 sites with approximately 750 pupils on our senior site. This role is based at our senior site.

Hours: 


24 hours per week. 6 hrs per day Monday to Thursday (8.30am to 3pm) with half hour lunch.  


Salary details: 


Hampshire County Council Grade C - Actual Salary £10,774 to £11,497.
