The Priory School
The Priory School is a thriving learning community which seeks to appoint a teacher of Design Technology with Graphics Specialism (desirable). We are looking for innovative and passionate teachers who can inspire students to embrace the opportunities that Design Technology offers.
You will be an inspirational colleague who will help the school achieve our vision of 'Educating Students for Success in Life'. We are a rapidly improving school with a dynamic, positive learning environment and we will provide you with the right balance of support, challenge and stimulation.
We are an oversubscribed 11-18 co-educational foundation school with over 1100 students on role. The school is situated in the greenbelt on a 27 acres site with ample parking. The market town of Hitchin is a highly sort after destination with excellent local amenities and transport links. Central London and Cambridge are all within 40 minutes travel by rail and our nearest airport is 20 minutes by road.
At The Priory School all teachers and support staff believe that every child has the right and ability to succeed. To embed our students' learning, we need to ensure that we have strong partnerships with parents and carers. By sharing the same educational goals and working collaboratively together, we are able to lay the foundations for their future success. In 2017 Ofsted identified that we were a 'good' school where 'pupils feel they belong, regardless of race, religion or sexuality.' Our students feel valued and safe because we have created a learning environment which promotes high expectations, aspirations and academic achievement. New colleagues will be provided with the right balance of support, challenge and stimulation for both job satisfaction and career development.
