Grade G5, Point 18 – 21 - pro rata (Actual Salary £15,456 - £17,225)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic technician to provide support to teaching staff within the Design Technology Department. This role involves assisting all areas of Design Technology including Food, Textiles, and Product Design with preparation of resources and equipment, assisting in the classroom during lessons, health and safety and maintenance of equipment.

The successful candidate should be able to work independently, as part of a team, show initiative and enthusiasm and most importantly must enjoy working with students.  Experience in a manufacturing background, especially woodwork, would be a distinct advantage, but the willingness to undertake suitable training is essential.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of our job specification and be subject to an enhanced DBS check. A prohibition from teaching check will also be completed for all applicants.
