Job overview

Due to the continued growth of our school, we are looking to expand our team and we are seeking an excellent Design Technology Technician for September 2023. We are looking for someone to join our team to support our teachers as we grow and develop towards a full department and school. We are always looking for innovative and enthusiastic practitioners who can excite and motivate our students in their learning. Should you be interested in advancing your out of class practice, we offer a number of whole school project payments and experiences to further supplement your development. Wednesday afternoons at Bohunt Horsham are dedicated to teacher CPD; we are a close-knit team and we place a very high value on the development of our staff. As an iPad 1-2-1 school, we strive for original and inspired use of technology to aid learning and to impact positively on staff workload and ensuring a sustainable work-life balance.

We are in our fourth year since opening, located just north of Horsham, West Sussex. We currently provide for students in years 7, 8, 9 & 10. Over the next few years we will grow to become an all-through school for 1620 students aged 4-16 with a nursery facility.

We are part of the supportive and innovative Bohunt Education Trust, a MAT with eight schools including two Sixth Forms and a boarding facility. We may be separated geographically, however, all BET schools are student centred, sharing an uncompromising belief in high achievement and unconditional positive expectations, a real sense of community and a dynamic, innovative approach to education.

As a school our ethos is simple: enjoy, respect, achieve. We value a love of learning and actively promote the characteristics that make lifelong learners such as curiosity, hard work, critical thinking and a thirst for knowledge. We champion values such as empathy, tolerance and kindness that will develop learners who are game-changers, making the world a better place. Our students are empowered and supported to develop life skills such as resilience, confidence and courage, which will help them to overcome obstacles that may stand in the way of achieving their potential.

Potential candidates may make informal enquiries to Ms Georgette Ayling: Headteacher, by email: headteacherspa@bohunthorsham.com

Bohunt Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people and requires all staff and volunteers to share and demonstrate this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced DBS check. We are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.
