In September 2016 NIA opened as an all through 4-19 Free School and doubled its work force in 2017. We are now in position to do the same again to take in an oversubscribed new Year 7 and a new Reception cohort of pupils. By 2022 we will be a 2,220 pupil school.
We are looking to recruit outstanding staff to support the Teaching and Learning of our pupils by providing crucial roles throughout the school from 1st September 2018.
Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
Term time only + 1 week – 40 weeks per year. 37 hours per week
Scale points 23-27 (£16,686-£18,966 actual)
Do you have an aptitude for hard work, the ability to take initiatives and a flexible approach? Do you have the emotional resilience in working with challenging situations and sometimes behaviours?
If so, we are looking to appoint a Designated Safeguarding Lead (Secondary) whose priority will be the health, safety and well-being of all vulnerable pupils in school. You will have the legal responsibility for dealing with safeguarding issues, providing advice and support to staff, liaising with the Local Authority, and working with a range of other agencies. We are looking for someone who is organised, a team player and an effective communicator.
The chosen candidate will have a good educational background and have a real desire to improve the lives of children and young people.
