Wrexham Local Authority wishes to appoint an experienced, dedicated and passionate leader to join the Inclusion service. This is a new opportunity for someone who wishes to support children and young people to achieve their full potential and achieve their aspirations. The successful candidate will have lead responsibility for ensuring the Education Department and schools within the Borough discharge their safeguarding duties. The role will operate at a strategic, support and operational level as outlined in Keeping Learners Safe.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be an experienced social worker
- Have extensive knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures
- Have knowledge of trauma informed practice and its effective implementation
- Have experience of working at a strategic level, developing policies and procedures
- Have experience of working in a collaborative manner with other agencies/schools/families and children/young people
- Be an excellent communicator
