Trafford College Group through its innovative approach to learning and exceptional engagement with business prepares learners for success in work and life.

As part of the Greater Manchester Collaboration Group we are looking for an experienced Digital and Blended Learning Champion to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.  If you share our passion for innovation and success, there has never been a better time to work for Trafford College Group!

As a Digital and Blended Learning Champion you will play a key role in developing and improving the quality of digital and blended learning within the Trafford College Group and, more widely, in shaping the use of technologies for learning across the wider FE sector.

As part of a Greater Manchester wide community of practice you will engage with peers across the Greater Manchester Colleges Group and gain further insight into the potential of digital and blended learning to engage, enable and enhance learning.

With a strong focus on how digital technologies can improve the “quality of education” you will work with teachers and middle leaders to:

 Identify and share current and emerging good practice in the use of technologies for learning and blended learning models

 Identify and establish both short term and longer term CPD needs in:

 use of technologies for learning

 design of blended learning or remote learning within their specific curriculum area/s

 Develop CPD activity for colleagues in line with current CPD activity/schedule

 Inform and work with senior colleagues to shape digital and blended learning

As part of the Greater Manchester wider community of practice you will also be required to:

 Participate in half-termly network meetings and termly events to share, develop and disseminate good practice models

 Contribute to the development of resources, case studies and produce regular (half termly) blog updates

 Engage more widely with colleagues across GM and nationally to inform and shape the use of digital technologies for learning and wider curriculum development

As an experienced and skilled teaching professional you will have a strong track record in the effective use of technologies for learning and have sufficient credibility with peers and college leaders to shape and influence curriculum delivery. You will understand both the challenges and opportunities that have emerged from the immediate response to Covid-19 and be a positive advocate for teachers and in developing education that puts the student central to the development of technologies for learning.

As part of the wider community across GM colleges, you will be part of a wider network of skilled practitioners across the colleges and supported by a small team of specialist Learning Technologists.
