Digital Innovation Lead, able to also teach some Science

Private and maintained schools in Kenya share a common vision for the country and about a dozen UK-style prep schools are at the forefront of Kenyan primary education. Peponi House is at the forefront of those prep schools. 

Located in a leafy suburb of Nairobi, the school has just been almost completely rebuilt with state-of-the-art classrooms and a wealth of other facilities. Our use of technology is far head of most other schools and we have been extending the latest technology into all our teaching and learning, following the SAMR Model. There are several major projects in hand or at the planning stage, and the further potential is endless. We’re looking for someone to help us achieve it.

Peponi is about a lot more than achievement, and our sense of family over-arches everything we do. With some 45 nationalities, we learn from each other as well as from lessons, gadgets, and activities. There are lots of friendships, with lots of laughter, lots of fun, and lots of encouragement. 

As well as your whole-school responsibilities you’ll also teach Science to some of our Year 6 to 8 children, because actually teaching with technology as well as leading it will give you even more ideas about what else we can do. So we’re looking for kindness and broad teaching abilities, as well as that digital expertise.  You do not need to have had experience in the independent sector, nor do you need to be a specialist Science teacher.
